These pretty blue bikes, parked outside the Chicago History Museum, are part of Chicago's new bike-sharing fleet. It seems like a good idea to me, and i've been seeing quite a few people riding around the city on them. Click here for more information on Divvy Bikes.

Bunny sighting early this morning

I just noticed these small pine trees with protective cages around them yesterday
and have no idea who planted them or what the plan is.
 I've always liked the two willows standing out against the horizon, so my feelings
about the incipient pine forest are a little ambivalent.

2 August 2013: After the Rain

I'm posting early today because it was such a beautiful morning. There was a storm during the night, which took down this large tree branch. The only other evidence of it was the brilliance of the sun, sparkling in the puddles and moist air. Now, just an hour later, the clouds are moving in again.
