5 October 2013: Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!

There are thunderstorms in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight,
but the sky was as beautiful as it could possibly be at 8:00 this morning.

4 October 2013: Things Are Not Always As They Seem

My first impulse was to call 911 when i came across this scene in the middle of Farwell Ave. this morning, but then i realized that the person attached to this pair of legs was merely adjusting something under his truck. Farwell was lined with construction vehicles all the way down the block from Glenwood to Greenview in preparation for some work on the natural gas lines. I really hope the neighborhood will be declared perfect soon: all this construction is becoming a little overwhelming.

3 October 2013: Late Night Construction Site

It's so busy and noisy during the day
that, in contrast, the construction site seems almost haunted at night.

2 October 2013: Abracadabra!

The house at the corner of Farwell and Greenview was there yesterday, but gone this morning.
It was the site of a fire back in January. A crew has been working on the house for the past few weeks,
but apparently the damage was beyond repair and the house had to be demolished.
I posted about this house on 15 August and 26 May.

1 October 2013: More Morning Glories

Since there have been so few morning glories this summer, i thought they deserved another day on the Photo du Jour. These beauties blanket the fence outside the Council for Jewish Elderly Farwell House.
