The heatwave continues. The temperature broke the 100℉ mark again today, and tomorrow is going to be just as bad. One of the symptoms of heat stroke is mental confusion, and judging by the way i reacted to seeing this wedding cake in a shop window on Michigan Ave. this afternoon, i think i may have it.
The first thing i noticed about the cake were the three little figures on the bridge, and i immediately thought, "Oh, one bride and two grooms! How marvelously open-minded and unconventional!" Eventually i was able to focus my heat-warped attention long enough to discern a rather ho-hum, one-bride-one-groom arrangement on the top of the cake and realized that the people on the bridge (along with a few others that didn't make it into the picture) were supposed to be the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I still think it's a weird cake.
